Rooms 1A, 1B, 2, and 5 enjoyed a performance given by John Fogarty on April 11. The program was titled, “Adventures by the Book” and included creative movement activities, singing, and puppets. The children really enjoyed the performance and a good time was had by all.
Kindergarten and Pre-Kindergarten students at NRDN have been participating in the Classroom Connection, activities that help young children learn how to resolve conflicts written by Kathy Cochran. As a culminating event, the children and their teachers will plant a peace pole in the front of the Nursery to symbolize their wishes to let peace prevail in the world on Thursday, May 25, 2006 at 3:00PM. The Peace Pole Project is a part of the United Nations campaign to promote world wide peace. There are over 250,000 poles around the world.
