Program Highlights:
In addition to providing a “community of scholars” environment in which students feel supported and are able to network, some of the programming offered by SBU CSTEP are preparation for professional exams, academic/career advisement, a pre-freshman summer residential program for credit and academic enrichment, as well as pre-professional internship placements on the University campus. SBU CSTEP promotes student involvement in designing the focus of the program and, through collaboration with CSTEP faculty and staff, helps students achieve their full academic potential. The philosophy of the SBU CSTEP is to EDUCATE, EQUIP & EMPOWER students with the information, experiences and the skill sets needed to graduate and succeed in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math).
