Program Highlights: Founded in 1824, Cazenovia College is a small, independent, co-educational baccalaureate college of approximately 900 students. A vital component of the College’s mission ‘embraces learning as its primary focus and is committed to creating an environment that encourages intellectual, social and ethical growth, preparing students to become leaders in the global community.’ Cazenovia College CSTEP is dedicated to the college mission as well as to foster academic excellence, teach effective long-term career management skills, and create a meaningful pre-professional experience for program participants. Students eligible to participate are underrepresented and economically in-need populations who seek degrees in math, science, technology and the licensed professions. There are nine career programs served by Cazenovia College CSTEP: Accounting-Specializing in Business Management, Criminal Justice, Environmental Studies, Human Services, Interior Design, Liberal and Professional Studies, Psychology, Social Sciences and Visual Communications.
CSTEP is part of the Center for Teaching and Learning. Working closely with the CTL and Cazenovia College Career Services, CSTEP offers free tutoring, mentoring, career awareness workshops, academic skills development, awareness of internship opportunities, and individual attention to facilitate student academic and personal growth. CSTEP provides graduate school application assistance and symposiums, career portfolio building, conference attendance assistance, community service opportunities, GRE assistance, speaker and cultural experience opportunities and a laptop loan program.
